One benefit per household
Lifeline is limited to one benefit per household, not per
person. A household is everyone who lives together and shares
income and expenses. Two adults at the same address who buy
their food and pay their bills separately count as two
households and can each hold a benefit.
Who regulates Lifeline in Michigan
Telecommunications providers in Michigan are overseen by

Michigan Public Service Commission. If a provider will not resolve a billing or service
complaint, the commission is where to escalate it. Complaints
about the Lifeline benefit itself go to the FCC.
