What Frontier Communications does well

  • Applies the discount to home internet, not just phone
  • Widest home-service footprint in the program
  • Fiber available in a growing share of its territory

What to watch

  • Home service only — no mobile option
  • Only available where Frontier already has wireline plant

How to apply to Frontier Communications

  1. Confirm you qualify. Frontier Communications cannot enroll you until USAC's National Verifier has approved your household, through a benefit program or on income.
  2. Check it serves your ZIP. Being approved in your state is not the same as covering your address — Frontier Communications is licensed in 24 states but 4,490 ZIP codes, not all of them.
  3. Apply at the National Verifier at lifelinesupport.org, or let Frontier Communications submit it during signup.
  4. Enroll and recertify. Lifeline requires annual recertification, and the benefit stops if you miss it.
